A statement from Carolyn

I have had the privilege of serving the students of the Hillsboro School District since 1992. Our community has grown at a rapid pace but still is one constant, our students.

These are uncertain times. The economic realities that have impacted our nation will also impact our school districts. This is a time to have steady and proven leadership. It will require experienced people who can keep the core mission at heart. Our goal is to make sure that we continue to close the achievement gap and get our students to graduation prepared for post high school experiences.

School board members must be willing to make decisions in the best interest of the students that we are elected to serve. Board service is just that, a service to the community. I have had the privilege to work with excellent partners in education in Hillsboro, Oregon and at the national level. I bring passion and abounding energy to my board work everyday and look forward to continuing that work in the next for years. In order to do that I need your help, I need your support and your vote.
